Birds of S America by Alan Wilkinson
Mike has supplied the following description:
A presentation on birds of South America, by expert ornithologist and international Twitcher, Alan Wilkinson.
Alan has recently spent time in Brazil, Columbia, Philippines and Taiwan. He has seen over 5000 bird species worldwide, which is a huge number when you consider that most British birdwatchers have life lists of less than 500.
Alan started bird watching as a youngster in Devon in the early 70s, When he and I spent formative years looking for rarities on and around the river Exe. These days I struggle to identify birds in the back garden. Alan, however, has become one of Britain’s foremost birdwatchers; we look forward to welcoming him.
Hope to see you there.
