Qi Gong (pronounced chee gung) is

an ancient Chinese exercise routine.

Slow and gentle movement help relaxation, coordination, and posture. The slowness and repetition of the movements promote deep and regular breathing, resulting in a peaceful mind and improved concentration, while offering a balanced exercise routine to muscles, joints and tendons.

It can promote control of movement and balance, and has long been considered an effective remedial exercise regime in the treatment of Parkinson`s and other illnesses.

Exercises can be performed standing or sitting, and are offered in varied levels of difficulty to suit individual needs. Classes are relaxed and relaxing and partners and carers can benefit too.
