A message from Mike Onley:

Hi Everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well and have survived the heatwave followed by the storm!  Hot weather can affect many of us quite badly, often exacerbating symptoms, so please do your best to stay cool and take rest when you need it.

Many thanks to all of you who took part in the recent Tesco collection.  We raised nearly £700 on the day - brilliant work!

Good luck to everyone taking part in the Newbridge Collection on 16th August.

🚤 Boat Trip (Cancelled): Apologies to those who hoped to join the boat trip on the 2nd of August. Unfortunately, it had to be cancelled due to the dry conditions. We’re hoping to reschedule for 18th October - stay tuned!

- 🌿 Sussex Prairie Gardens Visit:  we have decided to take another visit to Sussex Prairie Gardens, everyone enjoyed it last year.

  - 📅 Saturday, 23rd August

  - ⏰ Meet at 11:00 AM

  - 💰 Admission: £12 per person (We’ll cover the cost of cream teas!)

  - 📝 Let Dennis or Emma know if you’d like to come, and whether you would like a cream tea. Partners and friends welcome along with well behaved dogs!

I am putting the latest network news on the website, you may find some interesting articles here.

We look forward to seeing you at the gardens.

Best wishes,

Mike

Saturday 23rd August 2025

Thirty people, and several well behaved dogs, went on the trip to Sussex Prairie Gardens .

This started with an enthusiastic talk by Pauline McBride, who, along with her husband Paul, created the garden. We then had plenty of time to explore the garden and enjoy the fine weather. This was followed by a delicious cream tea.

Thanks to Mike, Dennis and Emma, who helped to organise the trip.
