PD Warrior

If you are new to PD warrior start here

PD Warrior is a physiotherapy / exercise routine for people with Parkinson's. The program is delivered in two phases

Phase 1

Consists of an initial assessment of your level of symptoms, Followed by 10 weeks of intensive physio, followed by a reassessment of your symptoms. Our Physiotherapy provider for PD warrior is LV Rehabilitation, for more info see the branch presentation here

We are currently recruiting for the PD warrior 10 week challenge - we can take a maximum of 12 participants per cohort. Places are still available. The start date has been postponed to April 2025.

Phase 2

In order to maintain improvement it is critical to take part in the continuity program which is a maintenance physio therapy exercise class.

Boxing and boxercise

Horsham Boxing Club run a session of their Boxing Fitness class for people with Parkinson's.

This is a mixture of:

It is great fun and you can take out your frustration on a punch bag.

This session is mixed sex, with the participants having various levels of fitness.

Horsham Boxing Club have generously offered this as a free service. There is a suggested donation of £5 per session.
